Musee D'Orsay-Paul Cezanne

Le Christ Aux Limbes-Vers 1867

I didn't have to much time to analyze this painting, because I was so focused on drawing.

This helped me understand what I was drawing and observing...
What I found out about this painting was: They appear as vigorous impasto intercepting the light, making the surface of the picture vibrate, and standing out vividly against a black background. This painted image reveals Cezanne's desire to develop a personal dramatic style, while still displaying the influence of his elders.
