Day 5: The Arc de Triomphe

The Arc de Triomphe is one of the many great monuments of Paris. at the near end our day we took a trip to the arch. We arrive out from the metro station to a crowded city scape, the moment was tense with people, perforamce art, and chaotic cars. We turn around to have our eyes filled with the larger then picture format landmark. the arc was greater then expected, the size, the sculptures, everything was speechless. Then came the unexpected part the way to get up on top of the arc is to walk up this never ending spiral stair case, over 200 aching steps.

But it was all worth it to see the top, to see down all the roads that intersecs the arc. The control, and symmetry of the building and roads completely lets you feel Paris's aura.
